Yemanya - Performer
Yemanya’s multi-ethnic dances cover a kaleidoscope of cultures that range from native American, Afro/Haitian, Congolese, Yoruba, and include authentic costuming and musical instruments. She performs with authentic African drummers and dancers and musical groups throughout the area. The history of African American culture is told through storytelling, dance and song. The traditional costuming and choreography are passed down from her grandmothers and great aunts who taught her the crafts, dance, songs and language of their African roots.
Yemanya is available for private bookings, parks & recreational departments, school and community service programs. Her programs are varied and can be customized to suit your needs.
